Keep four different departure names separate
Pointe Maurice is the departure named by the official leisure-island shuttle. Trou d’Eau Douce also appears on boat excursions, but a town name alone is not a boarding instruction. A booking leaving from that area must still identify its own meeting point.
Pointe des Régates is the Mahébourg departure associated with the southeast catamaran itinerary reviewed for this guide. Pointe Jérôme is another place. Do not change one into the other when entering a destination in a map, arranging a taxi or translating your booking notes.
Keep a small set of details together: the named trip, exact meeting location, required arrival time, landing point and return arrangement. Save them before leaving your accommodation. A screenshot of a general island map is useful orientation, but it does not replace those trip-specific instructions.
Pointe Maurice shuttle times
The island operator currently lists its public shuttle between Pointe Maurice and Masala Jetty from 09:30 to 18:00, every 30 minutes. These published hours were checked on 24 October 2026. Reconfirm the return for your date before setting off.
The golf shuttle uses a different jetty and schedule. A catamaran booking from Trou d’Eau Douce or Mahébourg does not use the Pointe Maurice public-shuttle timetable.

A catamaran departure from Mahébourg
The featured southeast-coast cruise leaves from Pointe des Régates in Mahébourg. Its published day runs from 09:30 to 16:30, subject to the confirmed departure and operating conditions. This is a full-day excursion, not the Pointe Maurice island shuttle.
Use the meeting point in your booking confirmation. Pointe des Régates, Pointe Jérôme and Pointe Maurice are different places. Do not choose a jetty simply because it appears in an island search.

Arrange your road transfer separately
Neither of the two featured catamaran trips includes hotel transfers. Andeor can arrange the road journey through Seke. The transfer is a separate service, with its own price and confirmation.
Trou d’Eau Douce and Pointe Maurice
These names refer to different departure arrangements. Trou d’Eau Douce is a departure base for boat excursions. Pointe Maurice is the departure point named by Île aux Cerfs Leisure Island for its own shuttle. They should not be treated as interchangeable meeting points.
Save the exact location provided by your operator. A map search for “Île aux Cerfs” may lead to the island itself rather than the mainland place where your boat leaves.
Getting to the jetty from your hotel
Arrange a taxi, drive or choose a trip that explicitly includes a hotel transfer. The drive depends on where you are staying, traffic and the actual departure point. Ask for a recommended collection time rather than building your day around a generic island-wide estimate.
A hotel transfer and the boat crossing are separate services unless your booking combines them. If driving, ask where parking is available and how far you will walk with your belongings.
Agree the return before boarding
Confirm the last return available to you, whether your place is reserved and what to do if you cannot find the boat. Keep the booking confirmation and operator contact accessible offline.
The island operator publishes shuttle information on its website. Check it again before travelling, because different boat services can have different timetables and landing points.

Ask the operator about the actual boat and jetty if steps, balance or carrying a stroller could be difficult. A photograph of a lagoon is not evidence of accessible boarding. Explain what assistance you need before booking.
